When we set out to design a hat that could work for every school, regardless of team colors. We started with a simple goal: create a neutral, everyday option that still felt elevated. Something you could throw on for game day or a coffee run. The first idea we explored was an entirely cream hat. Off-white tones have always felt vintage to us, being worn-in, classic, and timeless. But as we moved forward, we realized it needed more contrast. More weight. More character. Less expected. 

That’s where espresso came in.

We introduced espresso brown to give the collection a grounded, vintage feel, but with a bit more edge. When paired with the cream crown, it struck a perfect balance of warmth and refinement — on trend, yet distinctly our own. The color combo felt like a nod to the past with just enough modern energy to fit right into today’s streetwear influence. And we matched that palette with our signature A-frame fit to tie it all together: modern structure, vintage soul.

What really set this collection apart were the details. For schools with bold, solid-color logos, we used 3D embroidery to give the logos depth and dimension. For schools with more complex logos or multi-line text, we created two-tone patches in espresso and cream to maintain clarity while keeping vintage consistency. Each one was designed with care to make sure the school’s identity came through while still fitting the aesthetic of the overall collection.

We also added a subtle but meaningful extra: state logos on the side of each hat. It’s a small nod to home, where the team plays and the pride starts. Whether you're still on campus or miles away, the state patch brings it full circle.

From the start, the response to the Espresso Collection blew us away. People loved how neutrally bold it was. You could wear it with anything, and it didn’t feel tied to just one moment. It was collegiate pride, but understated. It didn’t scream. It just looked good.

It quickly became our best-selling collection, and for good reason. The color combo, the thoughtful fit, the elevated logos, and the added state details. It was everything we wanted in a hat: something timeless, versatile, and distinct.

Thanks to your support, we’ve been able to expand the collection across multiple schools, and we’re not even close to done yet. What started as a neutral idea turned into something much bolder, and we’re proud to keep building on it.
